A Wrinkle In Time (1962) Book Quotes

I had never read this book until a few days ago and I have only one regret; that I can not go back in time and read it again as a child. It was a beautiful story. I highly recommend it.

“We look not at the things which are what you would call seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal. But the things which are not seen are eternal.” -Madeleine L’Engle

Book Quote of the Day: Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children

Sleep is not, death is not;

Who seem to die live.

House you were born in,

Friends of your springtime,

Old man and young maid,

Day’s toil and it guerdon,

They are all vanishing,

Fleeing to fables,

Cannot be moored.

-Poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Featured in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Ransom Riggs, 2011
